Road Patrol

The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division provides law enforcement duties throughout the 260 square miles of Tipton County.  There are three daily shifts patrolling Tipton County, to allow for 24 hour police protection.

The Road Patrol Division is the backbone of the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office and is usually the first contact citizens have with our Sheriff’s Office. The officers of the Road Patrol Division respond to citizen’s requests for assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Duties include:  conducting initial and follow-up criminal investigations, enforcing traffic laws, investigating traffic crashes, arresting persons who have committed criminal offenses and those persons who have arrest warrants issued for their arrest, testifying in court hearings, investigating suspicious persons and situations, as well as many other duties.

All officers have received extensive training in order to perform their duties and are required to continuously attend in-service training throughout the year.

The officers of Road Patrol Division take pride in their profession and are second to none in the service they provide for the citizens of Tipton County. The officers will continue to strive to provide the best service possible to the citizens of Tipton County, with professionalism and compassion.
