Tipton County birth and death records are available from 1882 to the present.

Required for obtaining a birth or death certificate:

1. Completed application (obtained from the Health Department)
2. Photo ID (for example, a drivers license, school ID or work ID)
3. Fees:

   Adoptions	$10.00
   Amendment to birth records	$10.00
   Birth certificates	$10.00
   Home Birth	$20.00
   Death certificates	$10.00
   Legitimations (after 6 months of marriage)	$10.00
   Copies of genealogy card	$2.00

4. Birth certificates can be issued only to certificate holders, their spouse, mother, father, grandparent, children (over age 18), aunt, and uncle.
