Event Description:
I wanted to make you aware that there is going to be a Public Open House on Monday, November 18th from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Tipton County Foundation Building regarding the planning efforts for Tipton’s Downtown Revitalization Plan – called Forward Tipton.
At this open house, our team of consultants will be asking the community for input on what they love about Tipton and what they envision for the future of Downtown; what would they most like to see: restaurants, shops, new businesses, sidewalks, parks, trails, and housing? Along with many other questions!

The Downtown Revitalization Plan is a strategic guide for future development and redevelopment within the downtown. The focus of this effort is to identify physical projects and financial strategies that will aid the community in supporting existing downtown patrons, businesses, and residents, and encourage compatible improvements into the future. It will also ensure that the downtown maintains a high quality of life for residents and is competitive from an economic development standpoint. Tipton was awarded a planning grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) to complete the Downtown Revitalization Plan and have used it to retain the services of Rundell Ernstberger Associates (REA), an Indianapolis-based planning and urban design firm, to provide facilitation and technical guidance throughout this process.
