Highway Department

The Tipton County Highway Department maintains and repairs approximately 580 miles of county roads, bridges, and drainage systems located within the unincorporated areas of Tipton County.

The department performs a variety of roadway functions, including chip and seal, paving, striping, culvert repairs, filling potholes, salting, ice and snow removal, sign repairs, and weed control.

The Tipton County Highway Department also may be called upon to remove roadkill, tree limbs, spills, and other articles that may present unsafe driving conditions.

The department performs all of these services, and more, striving to achieve the highest possible result while working within its budget.
