ADA / Title VI Information

Tipton County recognizes each individual's civil rights and wishes to provide equal oppurtunity and equitable service for the citizens of this County.  As a recipient of federal and state funds, Tipton County is required to conform to ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Title II and Title VI of the Civil Rights Acto of 1964 (Title VI) and all related statutes, regulations, and directives, which provide that no person shall be excluded from participation in, denied benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) on the grounds of race, color or national origin. Tipton County's non-discrimination policy also prohibits discrimination based on age, gender, disability or income status.

No person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, religion, income status, or limited english proficiency be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity conducted by Tipton County or its entities.
